David Remnick became Editor of The New Yorker in 1998. He joined the publication in 1992 after ten years with The Washington Post, where he covered stories for the Metro, Sports, and Style sections, and then went on to become Moscow Bureau Chief. Remnick has been a Council on Foreign Relations Visiting Fellow and taught at Columbia and Princeton Universities. He has written over a hundred pieces for The New Yorker.
