Thomas H. Hartman was named Vice President and Publisher of Gourmet in March 2007. Prior to that, Mr. Hartman served as Associate Publisher of Gourmet for four years.  During this time, he led the sales force to an all-time paging high in 2004, followed by a record-high revenue year in 2006.  Mr. Hartman’s extensive background in advertising and sales includes senior level positions online and in magazines. He served as Senior Vice President/Worldwide Advertising of The Walt Disney Internet Group’s Go.com and as Regional Vice President/Strategic Sales at DoubleClick, Inc.

Mr. Hartman first joined Condé Nast Publications in 1993 as Advertising Manager of Vogue where he was promoted to Advertising Director in 1994. Prior to that he worked at American Express Publishing, first as Senior Sales Manager of Travel & Leisure and then as Vice President and Publisher of D. The City Magazine of Dallas. Mr. Hartman began his career as an editor at Washington Journalism Review (now AJR) and ended his time there as Publisher.

Thomas Hartman holds a B.A. from the University of Texas and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School. He also has attended professional culinary programs at both Le Cordon Bleu and Bellouet Conseil in Paris.  He resides in New York City with his wife and two children.
