Cardone began her impressive Condé Nast career as an Account Manager at Gourmet in 1989. Three years later, Cardone left to pursue a career in database marketing for the Cowles-Thomas Travel Group, where she served as Vice President, Marketing Director.

Cardone returned to Condé Nast in the spring of 1994 as Vanity Fair's Advertising Manager. At Vanity Fair, she advanced first to Advertising Director and subsequently to Associate Publisher. As Associate Publisher, Cardone oversaw the marketing and sales of Vanity Fair's special signature issues, and presided over a dramatic increase in business, doubling advertising pages from 1000 in 1994 to over 2000 in 2000.

Cardone resides in Scarsdale, NY with her husband, Richard, and her two sons.
