Giulio Capua was named vice president and publisher of Architectural Digest in February 2007. He previously served as publisher and vice president of Gourmet magazine.

While publisher at Gourmet, Capua led the magazine through a number of milestones, including the largest ad page performance in its 65-year history. He oversaw the creation and development of Gourmet's signature events, including the highly successful Gourmet Institute, and helped steer the brand into television with the series, Gourmet's Diary of a Foodie.

Prior to his five-year tenure at Gourmet, Capua spent 12 years at Gentlemen's Quarterly, advancing from sales representative to associate publisher. As associate publisher of GQ, he oversaw day-to-day sales and marketing operations and was part of the team that created the Men of the Year franchise. Before joining Condé Nast, Capua worked at European Travel & Life magazine and General Media International.

Mr. Capua graduated from Ithaca College with a BS in Finance and Marketing. He lives with his wife Elizabeth and his son Peter in Mount Kisco, New York.
